Moving on up...

...to a new office building!  I've been working as a contractor for a refinery for the past five years.  I've had several different assignments and each time I switched jobs I moved to a different work trailer.  Yes, a trailer.  I haven't seen daylight during work hours for five long years.  I take that back; during one of my assignments, I got a nice corner office with two windows.  The trade off was that we had to leave our trailer and walk to another trailer to use the bathroom.  In the rain and in the snow.  I would trudge to the bathroom in 6 inches of snow and have to sit through the rest of the work day with cold feet and soaking pant hems.  Not anymore!!

In a week and a half I will be moving into a brand new office complex, complete with floor to ceiling windows and a real cafeteria.  No more eating lunch at my desk!  It's the little things, guys.  I already feel more professional :)

Tomorrow is my one year blogiversary, so stay tuned for a giveaway post at some point this weekend!

  1. Hooray for your new workspace! It really does make all the difference to see natural light during the day, and not having to eat at your desk is the best. In no time at all, you'll be runnin' the joint :)
